Anney’s Closet

SI Victoria Westshore
Anney’s Closet is a “free store” for women who are transitioning to a new, usually independent living situation. Anney’s Closet “shoppers” are often fleeing violence, domestic abuse or other unsafe living situations, or aging out of foster care.
Bea’s Closet

SI of the Tri Cities
Women and girls in our community can be referred to us from our partner social service agencies and have the opportunity to select items from Bea’s Kloset that will transform their new apartments into functional and comfortable homes.
Dream It Be It Podcast

SI of vancouver
The podcast is a safe and comfortable environment for students to talk. High school students chat with Youth Mental Health & Life Coaches about their dreams, obstacles, mindsets, friends, families and academic or career plans.
Heather’s Hope Chest

Si of chilliwack
Heather’s Hope Chest is a free store where women and girls who are in transition and are in need of household items can safely shop for the necessities required to create a comfortable and functional home.
Housing for Women By Women

Si of Vancouver
This new affordable housing project of housing for women by women is focused on closing this glaring gap in the housing needs of women in our city by providing affordable and long-term housing for senior women, single mothers and their children, and workforce women.
Period Promise

SI of Central Alberta
In 2021, we received a grant from the Red Deer and District Community Foundation and partnered with the United Way of Central Alberta to start the Period Promise Pilot Project. This project equipped four schools in Red Deer with free menstrual products in every washroom.
More schools are now funded by the Province of Alberta, and many businesses and organizations now provide free products to their employees and people who access their facilities.
Soroptimist Leadership Institute

The SI Leadership Institute provides online workshops on topics designed to help you become a respected leader within your community, including but not limited to:

Developing leadership and organizational skills

SoroptiPaks

SI of Courtenay
The SoroptiPak program was initially established in 2003 to provide basic all new bathroom, bedroom and kitchen items to women leaving the Comox Valley transition house for women and their children fleeing abuse, to help them set up their new home. More than twenty years later this program is still operating through the generous donations of our community.
Soroptimists Uplift HER

SI of saskatoon
Our Santa Sack initiative is part of the Soroptimist UpliftHER initiative. Our aim was to collect donations for women in need of our community’s support.
Thanks to all of the generous donations from our supporters, we delivered amazing care packages to women at:
– Adelle House,
– Hope Restored Canada, and
– Central Urban Metis Federation Inc.
