When I joined SI of the Langleys Club in March of 2012 I was a new resident of Langley City. As such I thought it would serve two purposes: getting to know other women in my new city and to fulfill my need to pay back to the community. I have never looked back and am now surrounded by a have a large circle of like-minded amazing women who I am proud to call friends and I have become passionate about improving the lives of women and girls in our community and globally.
I have served in all the Executive positions at the club level and was conference chair of the 2016 conference hosted by the Langleys club. After serving as 2016-2018 Region Public Awareness Chair, I am excited to be serving the organization as the 2018-2020 Governor Elect of Western Canada Region.
My day job is as an Office Professional at Fraser Health Authority in the Clinical Professional Development Portfolio. I also belong to a professional association – International Association of Administrative Professionals where I have held all leadership positions at both the chapter and division (region) level.
This year I am leading the United Way Campaign at the corporate office of Fraser Health. This will be my fourth time, previously with my former employer – Vancouver Community College – where I was awarded with the Silver Award for increased donations. Something I hope will happen again this year at Fraser Health.
When I have some free time, I enjoying sharing my love of travelling with my husband. Any adventure big or small is exciting for us to explore.
To relax I enjoy reading, scrapbookng, and doing jigsaw puzzles – the greater the challenge, the greater my pleasure.
