I’m so glad you’re here… today I am having a little fun! I decided to share with you my FBI!

B – Breakfast
I struggle to eat breakfast in the morning. What I like is to get up, and sit quietly with my hands wrapped around a hot cup of coffee , and slowly wake up. The thought of eating is just too much. Maybe after an hour or so I could eat but by then I need to be heading out the door for work.
I have tried lots of things…One thing I did was to set out a bowl with oatmeal the night before. What a great idea! All I have to do is add the water and nuke it for a couple of minutes. I followed through for a couple of days but the truth is I gagged it down which in my opinion makes eating not worth it.
I once made a pile of egg Mcmuffins(24 to be exact) and froze them. These are alot of work. You have to toast the muffins, make omelettes, cook the sausage, & slice the cheese. This venture was actually quite successful because I was able to nuke it moments before heading out the door. Unfortunately once the muffins ran out breakfast ended.
I heard about this new product… it is called “Holy Crap”… and billed as the world’s most amazing breakfast cereal. It’s gluten free, lactose free, No GMO, high fibre and more. Everything a person could want in a cereal. This stuff is made of stuff I have never eaten (or considered eating) – organic chia (yes the same chia pet stuff – who knew it was edible), hemp hearts, buckwheat, cinnamon and other things to make it taste good. You mix 2 tbsp. with water and then wait 5 min. and it puffs up. I have to say its not the worst thing I have ever eaten (although I had to add sugar). You don’t really have to chew it, maybe teeny bites but no real effort needs to be expended. I didn’t see the part on the instructions where you MIX it in with oatmeal or yogurt afterwards. Anyhow those 2 tbsp were quite filling. But, like the oatmeal, and the McMuffins it didn’t work out.
So here it is….Dana’s Special Smoothie! In the Magic Bullett (a great little machine) put in 3 ice cubes, 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder, 1 large tbsp of peanut butter, 1 Banana. Add cold water. In about 15 seconds you have a smoothie. it’s delicious! More importantly Monday to Friday I am “eating” breakfast.
I have tried other fruit smoothies but they don’t stay with me. Usually by 10 am I am hungry again. This smoothie keeps me full until noon.
Do you have a FBI? Please share it with me.
